Where can files with the same extension be deleted (as in File Manager)?
Cause:
Windows 95 uses Windows Explorer instead of File Manager.
Solution:
Click the 'Start' button, select 'Find', and select 'Files or Folders'. Type *.<ext> in the 'Named' drop-down list box and click 'Find Now'. Select the files to be deleted. Select the 'File' menu and select 'Delete'.
1) Locate all files containing the same extension:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Files' and select 'Files or Folders...' from the 'Find' submenu. (The 'Find: All Files' dialog box appears.)
c) Select the location in which to search for the files from the 'Look in' drop-down list box.
d) Type *.<ext> in the 'Named' drop-down list box (where <ext> is the desired file extension).
EXAMPLE: *.txt
e) Click 'Find Now'. (The files containing that file extension appear in the 'Find' window.)
2) Select the files to be deleted in the 'Find' window, or select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Select All' to select all the files.
3) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Delete'. (The 'Confirm File Delete' dialog box appears.)
4) Click 'Yes' to delete the selected files.
